Text:   John Bull's grandfather was Josiah Bull, who lived and died in Dutchess County, M.T. His family was large consisting of sixteen children. He had a son John, the father of the subject of this sketch, who came to Canada in 1802. In 1803 he married a daughter of Ezekiel Palen of Adolphustown. He afterward came to Bloomfield, where he bought several hundred acres of land and became a prominent farmer, and here he spent his life, dying January, 1859 at the age of 80.
